The three things I can't live without are: My husband, my son and my COFFEE, sometimes not in that order (sorry guys)!
My co-workers describe me as: funny, crazy & slighlty obnoxious
But I'm really: All of those things! I also try to be accepting of my co-workers who can rub me the wrong way. It's very hard some times, but I'm trying!!
I have not eaten food in the office refrigerator that wasn't mine.
The thing I like most about my job is: My cynical co-worker Eric, who is a combo of Dwight from the office & the Grinch that stole Christmas, but who I consider a good friend.
The thing I like least about my job is: Staring at my computer screen for 9 hours a day!!! My retina's are so overheated they could grill chicken!!
The thing I like most about my cube is: I put up postcards for my new Art Shows, Pics of my hubbie and son. I even pin some old CD's to my walls to give it a little more color.
The thing I like least about my cube is: It's drab, boring shades of tan & gray. Army barracks have more style.
My fantasy job is: Pop Artist
More about me in 100 words or less: I'm an IT Technical Recruiter for a large staffing firms in Oak Brook, IL. My job is one of the most boring in the whole wide world. I sit in front of a computer 9 hours a day and recruit IT Consultants for our Clients. I do love my co-workers & our boss, which helps me get thru the day. We are a very sarcastic group, so we are not the easiest crew to deal with, but we sure are funny, which takes a lot of the high pressure of our jobs off.
I'm also an Artist (Painter) in the Chicagoland area, specializing in Pop art, my website is www.chicagopopart.com. I was a featured Artist last summer at Lollapalooza and am just trying to get as many shows under my belt as possible! I have a great and supportive husband and a 4 year old son. I love to laugh and be social and of course, paint! I wish painting could be my full time occupation. I'll probably be recognized for my work after I'm long gone! Better late than never I guess!! I uploaded a picture of my work to show you how I shouldn't be doomed to live in the grey and colorless world of the average American office. We could all use a little more color in the beige cubicle, which is our world, no?
